Financing a small business can be a difficult job if no one is willing to spend money on what you’re selling. But in order to stay afloat, business owners go for the option of applying for small business loans. A business loan can give you more leeway to buy new supplies, pay off debts, or expand your business.

However, more banks nowadays are enforcing stricter rules and guidelines for giving out business loans. Policies on approval of small business loans are now less lenient and some banks have even demanded additional requirements.

A bad credit history is one important criterion for the approval of a business loan. Like every other bank or lending institution, risk factors have to be taken into consideration before they hand you their money. The credit card services you have availed and how you paid these services are very important information for these companies because it will be their basis on the approval (or disapproval) of your request, and the rate of interest they can give you. You need at least 700 points to securely get approved.

Fortunately, there is now an easier way to get a small business loan without the fear of your own credit card history. Getting a business cash advance is a faster and less stressful option for a business loan. A business cash advance is a lending service offered to business owners who accept credit cards as payment for their goods or services. This alternative form of business loan has a shorter processing time and has lesser requirements than a bank loan. This type of small business loan is quite perfect for those emergency situations where you need a large sum of money, fast. Approval of a business cash advance usually only takes 24 to 72 hours, depending on the company. Upon approval, the money is automatically transferred to your personal account. This fast-paced business loan is usually applied for online, which is very convenient.

The requirements are quite similar to those of most lending institutions, but your credit history would not be put under strict reviews. In fact, unlike business loans from the bank, bad credit history is not that big of a deal for cash advance providers. You only need to be of legal age, have a registered business in the US, have a small business that subscribes to credit card services for payment, and have been in business for at least a year.

The payment terms for a business cash advance are, of course, different from that of a business loan from the bank. But in general, the payment terms for this lending service will greatly depend on the amount of money you will be borrowing. The higher the amount, the longer time you’ll have to pay it off. But note that interests tend to be a bit higher for this type of business loan. For banks and other big lenders, payment terms for business loans can be paid off in longer terms, usually, over a year or more. Small business loans payment in banks usually does not exceed five years.

Payment for this type of business loan can be done in one single drop or monthly. It all depends on your capability to pay, and the amount of money you borrowed. The payment terms will usually require you to pay the cash advance company each month and you will get the payment structure with the amount that they expect you to pay every month. If you can afford to pay it off all at once, the better.

Get this special small business loan now.

We are all listening attentively about lenders on the radio, television, newspapers, and the Internet of promises to be “small business friendly”, “small business oriented”, wanting to be your “personal small business advisor” and a panoply of packages taking care of all your business needs. What small businesses really need is money, not personal hand caring services. So is there anyone out there really making small business loans? Yes. If you know where to look you can find one.

You can generally categorize banks into: 1) 10% that are actually making small business loans now and are serious about doing so, 2) 70% who will talk to you directly and indicate they are not making small business loans at this time because of the economy, and 3) 20% that slap you on the back, invite you in, and readily take your application. It is the latter group that gives us the most heartburn. It is not unusual after the initial review of your application papers for a bank represented to signal you have a good chance. Overjoyed, you begin to make plans, including executing contracts and receiving quotes for inventory, raw materials, or merchandise. Two months later, after the fourth loan committee review, you get a call that they have decided not to make the loan. The reason has little if anything to do with credit. It is typically something that was never been mentioned before and after reflection, it seems like an excuse not to make the loan in the first place.

Loan brokers such as myself are victims of the same misleading behavior. I cannot tell you how many banks have looked me in the eye and said: “Sure, we are making lots of loans. For unsecured loans of $75,000 to $150,000, we just need a credit score above 680, in business for over a year and a half, and decent financials. Real estate security is not required. We would love to entertain your applications.” Right.

What they really do is pour over the applications and pick 1 out of 100 that has the following fantasy credentials: a platinum credit score that Bill Gates would be proud of and which could support a small country, gushing positive cash flow, little competition, executed contracts stacked high on your desk, then a booming market niche. In other words, someone who doesn’t need the loan in the first place. You know the old adage: banks only give money to people who don’t need it.

It is simply psychology 101. Banks are filled up with loan officers and they have to show they are busy. If their boss walks into their office and sees nothing on their desk, they might be laid off. They have to show they are busy earning their salaries, which means receiving applications and going through the review process. It’s gotten so bad that the other day we had a client whose grandfather helped found the bank, whose father was best friends with the president, and who had received two successful loans before. Even he was turned down. Nor do they tell you the large SBA commercial loan department job layoffs of employees throughout the nation.

To prevent being too caught in this trap, look your banker in the eye and ask these questions:

1) “Tell me honestly. I don’t want to waste your time or mine. I know the credit crunch is quite depressing and there is really no secondary market. Are you actually entertaining small business loans at this time or should I wait.”

2) “How many small business loans have you personally made in the last 30 days?”

3) “What are the loan terms of the last three loans you made, including interest rate and monthly payments, for the amount of loan I am seeking?”

4) “How long will it take before I get a definitive answer?”

5) “Can you briefly describe to me the process I have to go through to get the final approval? Will you be the one making the final decision? What other people superior to you or committees will make that decision?”

But do not despair. There actually are real live prime lenders out there making small business loans. They just need to know where to look. In the next article I will discuss if such loans are available to startups.

“Small businesses” is an economically term which generally related to the business scope and extent. The taxing authorities categorize “small business” according to their finance turnover in a defined time duration, in most cases: a year. Another aspect of specifying a business as a “small” one is its field of activity: a single barber shop, or a single “Pizza” parlor, or a single stand in a marketplace, are “small businesses”. When one of those becomes “a chain of…” it’s another story.

The behavioral sciences, especially Sociology, regard “small business” as a small organization. From the sociology point of view a business is a type of social organization. The sociology discipline classifies organizations by their internal human relations and interaction. No matter how many people are involved, what’s count is the quality of the inter-relationships among them. If everybody knows everybody, face to face, by each name, and the instrumental communication is informal as the social communication, then it’s a “small organization”.

Such informal relationships can function when we are talking about 2 to 100 workers, managers and subordinates all together. Probably when it’s a 100 people organization we’ll find formal division of labor, duties definitions and documented regulations. On the other hand – a 4 personnel store: the informality is extreme and there is no room for documentation and definitions, everyone is doing everything and if the boss, the store owner, will keep distance – he’ll lose the great advantage of potential warm instrumental relationships with his three salespersons.

Between the 4 and 100 personnel the most common are the 30-40 personnel small businesses. Even if the business owner will try to establish formal regulations he wouldn’t succeed. In such a small organization people will behave according to the informal habits which dominate the everyday activities. There is no way that a new employee will sit down and read a documented guidance book. What will probably happen is that he’ll be told orally what to do by a senior foreman and will complete his integration by imitating others in his close working environment. If he’ll insist to read written instructions he wouldn’t find it because it doesn’t exist in such small businesses and if he will – it wouldn’t be updated. This is the great fault of small organizations and yet their great advantage: it makes them much more flexible and adaptable to market real time changes.

The sociologist Max Weber claimed that the ideal desirable theoretical model of the most efficient organization is the ‘bureaucratic” model. Weber argued that this type of model will be the only social organization that will overcome human faults and weaknesses. His organization will leave much longer than the individuals who are working for it. People will have to adapt themselves to the organizational needs and demands and not the other way round. He wanted to fulfill the old cliché saying “The graveyards are packed with people who thought they were irreplaceable”.

Just for the sake of argumentation, I’ll point only two of the criticism on Weber’s model:

One – Bureaucratic organizations suffer of stagnation. When a “big business” wants to react to changes in its businesslike environment its got to be someone whose job is to detect such changes and to call a meeting of the right forum which is nominated in advance to take care of such cases and according to the firm regulations to make decisions which will be accomplished by those who will be appointed to the task. Such a procedure is taking a lot of time while small business are reacting immediately and move forward leaving the big businesses behind.

Two - The biggest enemy of the bureaucratic organization is the informal organization within the formal one. A lot of money, time and energy are wasted trying to overcome the influence of the informal organization. In small businesses, which are informal by nature, there is no such problem.

As a metaphor we can compare big and small businesses to a steam ship and a sailing boat. In the big steam liner, even if the crew members know each other personally, they operate a daily routine under strict regulations carried out by formally ranked officers and other commissioned lower ranked staff. If the weather will change and threat the ship safety, no one will react without a strict command issued by the captain. In the small numbered crew of a 40 feet sailboat there are no ranks or strictly defined jobs. Everybody is doing everything which is needed when it is needed to be done. There is a Skipper but in case of a sudden hazard you can carry on each sailor that he’ll do what’s necessary without waiting to be told what to do. In small teams, who are operating in a stressed environment, a small boat in the big blue sea or a small business in the jungle of the wild markets, crew members know that if they wouldn’t operate shoulder to shoulder they will be hanged neck to neck. The friendly commitment to each other is working for the benefit of the organization.

A online print shop is a classic example of a small business. It is organized by the following departments:

Management and administration (3)

Sales and marketing (3)

Accountants (2)

Customer service (3)

Graphic artists studio (5)

Printing machines operators (3)

Production and finish (7)

Shipping (2)

Business development and Internet support (2)

Those 30 workers are crowded in 100 square meters shop including machines and furniture.

The print shop is operating on line and off line.

On line, through the Internet, they offer the classical advertising and promoting printed materials like: Business cards, magnets, fliers, stamps, account books, envelopes, letterheads, invitations, stickers, bookmarks, and so on.

Off line, when the customer arrives in person and orders his request face to face. This is when the products are “heavy” like: books, catalogs, folders, small paper made packing materials, and such.

The small number of employees, operating under the right managers leadership, creates consolidation, unification, integration, and forging “team spirit” based on interpersonal relationship which creates an identification, involvement and empathy with the business goals. The lack of distance between managers, foremen and other employees do not harm discipline and high standards of working moral and ethics. Discussions, which are taking place from time to time, in open forums, enable all workers criticize constructively or suggesting improvements. Workers can express themselves freely in periodical interviews and all channels of communication, including internal E-mailing, are open unlimited. The closeness relationships enable flexible positioning workers in different stations according to various burdens. The outcomes of 30 workers is synergistic by nature and much more than just aggregative.

Today’s economy and high unemployment rates are pushing most of us to explore the option of putting up our own small businesses. You will get to handle your own money, there is no risk of lay-offs, and it is a great opportunity to explore your skills on handling your own business and company. However, more banks nowadays are enforcing stricter rules and guidelines for giving out business loans. A bad credit history may be one of your concerns for getting rejected for a loan, and this makes it difficult for us to get the financial help few need to get started. Like every other bank or lending institution, risk factors have to be taken into consideration before they hand you their money. The credit card services you have availed and how you paid these services are very important information for these companies because it will be their basis on the approval (or disapproval) of your request, and the rate of interest they can give you. All in all, it is a tedious and stressful ordeal to go through.

Fortunately, there is now an easier way to get a small business loan without the fear of your own credit card history. Getting a business cash advance is a faster and less stressful way of getting and paying off a business loan. A business cash advance is a lending service offered to business owners who accept credit cards as payment for their goods or services. It has a shorter processing time and you can even do the transaction online. This is ideal for those time-dependent money problems you naturally experience with your business. It usually only takes a few days to a week to have your request processed and approved, with the money transferred to your own account. All you need to do is fill out their forms (available online) and qualify for their basic requirements.

The requirements are quite similar to those of most lending institutions, but your credit history would not be put under too strict reviews. In fact, unlike business loans from the bank, bad credit history is not that big of a deal for cash advance providers. You only need to be of legal age; have a registered business in the US; have a small business that processes credit cards for payment; and have been in business for at least a year. You can use the money to start or franchise your own business, refinance a business debt, buy new equipment or purchase goods, and pay of f debt or taxes.

The payment terms for a business cash advance is, of course, different from that of a business loan from the bank. But in general, the payment terms for this lending service will greatly depend on the amount of money you will be borrowing. The higher the amount, the longer the term period. For banks and other big lenders, payment terms for business loans can be paid off in long term or short term. Small business loan payment in banks usually does not exceed five years.

Payment terms for business cash advance canbe instant or can be done on a monthly basis, it all depends on your capability to pay, and the amount of money you borrowed. The payment terms will usually require you to pay the cash advance company each month and you will get the payment structure with the amount that they expect you to pay every month. If you can afford to pay it off all at once, then the better.

A business cash advance is a great way to fund your small business because it is convenient and easy to apply for. All you need now is to choose a legitimate cash advance lender to get started.

Since June 15, 2009, the United States Small Business Administration has been processing deferred payment small business loans of as much as $35,000 to be given out to 10,000 small businesses. This is covered by the SBA’s America’s Recovery Capital (ARC) Loan Program.

To qualify, companies should be private enterprises that are for-profit. They should have up to five hundred employees only and should be at least two years old. Furthermore, they should be able to prove financial need with a twenty percent decrease in sales, revenue or working capital. On the other hand, they should be able to prove that one of their two years in business has been profitable, and that with the infusion of cash they will be able to meet their existing and future debt obligations. This means positive cash flow projections. The ARC small business loans are intended to be used to pay outstanding debt such as payables to vendors.

For this batch of small business loans, there are no fees or costs involved, except if the borrower defaults on the loan later. In that case the SBA-approved lender can charge costs for securing and liquidating collateral.

The ARC small business loans also do not charge interest. Actually, the SBA pays the interest for the borrowers. Disbursement of the loan can take as much as six months but payment of the principal is also deferred for the next 12 months. After that, the borrower has five years to repay the loan principal.

Each small business can only avail of one ARC loan. SBA-approved lenders will offer the loans until September 30, 2010 or until available funds run out, whichever comes first.

There are, however, an estimated 30 million small businesses in the United States and only 10,000 of them can avail of the government’s small business loans. What if you do not happen to be among the 10,000 lucky recipients? How will your small business survive?

There are even doubts being raised on whether as much as 10,000 businesses can indeed avail of the ARC loans. There are fears that there may not be enough lenders willing or able to participate in the program. Lenders will have to advance the full amount of the loan, will not receive payment on principal for a full year, and will not be able to charge any fees, thereby absorbing all administrative costs. This may be too steep for many lenders. They may not be able to afford to participate at all.

This is where you as a small business owner can and should maximize your credit card services. We are not talking about your personal credit card services here. Instead, we are referring to the merchant services that enable your small business to receive credit card and debit card payments. Surely, any business these days avails of these types of credit card services. After all, more people pay by credit card or debit card rather than cash.

Most credit card services offer small business cash advances that can be as substantial as small business loans. These small business loans do not require any collateral because they are secured by your company’s future credit card receivables. This is even more convenient for your business because repayment is also built into those receivables. Credit card services automatically deduct a percentage from your income to go toward loan repayment. For as long as you have incoming sales, you can support your loan. Interest rates are often quite affordable considering how the loan can help your business.

Small businesses should therefore look into maximizing these credit card services for small business loans. The survival of your business could hinge on this.

Thinking in provisos of your classic “how to” method to online small business opportunity, individuals immortal expressions branded as the “boy scout motto” extend to mind. Namely; “Be Prepared.” Just as many a weather beaten “the sea is a harsh mistress” sea fairing captain will tell you (not so as to I know slightly, Just speculating here), homework is the important to weathering slightly storm.

Online Business Tips #1:

By homework, I don’t mean to imply so as to by completing a the minority tasks at this time and tying up a the minority free nail clippings nearby, so as to the job of preparing is something so as to you can forever leave in your wake.

If whatever thing, the steps you’ll take to plan to launch your small business will be much more like a routine so as to you’ll sustain to be specific you’ve battened down all your hatches so to verbalize.

Online Business Tips#2:

Steps like sell examination to determine proceeds generating budding, fiscal planning and promotion budgeting, mission statement and company revelation; these are all constantly changing ideals which need to be assessed on a periodic basis.

Much like glance a area each so often, now to tell somebody to positively you’re still on route.

These types of measures will tell somebody to positively so as to your business stays floating and avoids running aground.

Online Business Tips #3:

One of the greatest pieces of advice I or anybody as well can offer to individuals preparing to embark in the lead their maiden voyage in online small business is this; be taught as much as you can from as many diverse sources as you can previously you decide to commit to a individual route of war.

Take a drink greedily around the harbor previously you prearranged rancid around the globe…

Online Business Tips #4:

What I mean quite straightforward. Take each known opportunity to play down your menace as well as redouble you expertise found.

I you aim to develop the as a rule incredible item for consumption the humanity has forever seen and completely transform life as we know it. Good used for you.

However, you can like to reduce you first menace by wearisome your hired hand by several member programs original. This way, you secure the experience of marketing products exclusive of having to invest as much generation and money in item for consumption examination and development.

Taking the same portion of advice a step more, you be supposed to certainly invest generation and perhaps a the minority bucks to be taught more going on for how to sell a item for consumption previously you throw away slightly cash on an advertising campaign.

If you stick to these basic leader position, you’ll quickly bargain manually in the favorable pose of knowing come again? To sell, how to sell it, and how to power all the in sequence you’ve gathered to create the most return on your investment.

So, don’t now take slightly lone personnel word used for whatever thing, not even mine (I think), envision used for manually. That’s the real beauty of the working online and this recent age of in sequence as many call it.

Online Business Tips #5:

A literal fountain of expertise is constantly accessible to you, now by your finger tips. All of the in sequence you bargain can not be as accurate as it possibly will be. But, such is the nature of slightly vehicle so as to allows so many to voice their judgment and opinions.

It’s really up to you to decide used for manually come again? Pieces of in sequence are advantageous to you and therefore worth keeping.

I hope so as to this little blurb has helped to inspire individuals of you who are still on the fence going on for taking the plunge and perhaps provided various advantageous tips used for individuals who are already sailing rancid into the horizon

Native Americans, residing in the United States of America, can easily avail the facility of various small business grants for Native Americans. These government grants have been bought into effect in order to assist business owners in getting their business forwards.

If you are an African American, you can easily contact the local business groups in your state for inquiring about federal grants options. As a matter of fact, they are offered by specialized business groups within the boundaries of their city.

These grants are not just given to promote any regular business. Rather, they are even used to encourage cultural businesses. Every year, the government gives millions of dollars in the form of grants to Native Americans for different purposes.

The grants are not just provided to start up or expand a small business. Instead, they are even provided to go to a college or build a home. Indeed, education grants are very popular among Native Americans, giving them an opportunity to complete their education with the help of financial funding by the government.

Where to look for the grants?

Start-business government grants are available for Native Americans on a state by state basis. While searching for these business grants, it is wise to search for local sites as they might prove to be helpful. Indeed, they can give information about availing specific grants that you might be interested in.

What is needed for a successful application?

To receive business or college grants, you will typically require a certificate highlighting that you are indeed a Native American and belong to one of the federally recognized belt of tribes.

It is imperative to apply for grants to aid your business programs and help you expand it. You can even do the keyword search in order to see the listings of the agencies from which you can receive this helping hand.

What are the great benefits of grants?

In short, grants serve to be a nice medium of assistance or aid for Native Americans since they must not be repaid, unlike bank loans. You can get the grant application forms on the Internet. Find out, if you are eligible for this financial aid and also the details you need to include in the grants applications

It is important to remember that one can apply for more than one grant. This will help in increasing your chances of receiving the grant for your small business.

In this context, you should know that the application form should be filled out carefully to ensure accuracy. In case that there is a requirement for a grant proposal, this too should be worded carefully. Briefly, the application examiner should be able to easily go through your papers without any problems.

So, do not wait longer and apply for your grant right now! Look up the benefits of small grants for Native Americans in your city or state and apply immediately.

Everyone today wants their business to reach its peak and stay there. But always there are problems in the business that you can’t solve on your own. Some things laymen won’t understand only masters from Yale or Harvard do. So in that case one would need to employee a CFO forthe business . This can be really an added expense as the salaries for CFO’s reach the skies. Small scales businesses can’t afford an MBA with 15 years of experience. An easy solution is CFO for hire.

The Chartered Financial Officer handles all aspects of a business related to finance. He not only takes care of the current business but implements strategies and policies to tackle every conditionthe business would meet in the future. The CFO in other words is the brain of the business. Every decision taken, is taken by him after due consideration on the pro’s and con’s. CFO for hire would give you the services of a CFO on an hourly basis or a weekly basis depending on your requirements. This way you cannot only get the services of a CFO you don’t have to pay as much as you would have to for it.

The reasons why you would need a CFO are far too many to count but to name a few you would require a CFO to predict the cycle your business to running in, analyzing and projecting your business and cash flow needs, telling you how much cash you should keep in hand and how much to invest and where, work aggressively to reduce cost expense and sorting out for tax and other issue’s. They would review the financial statements and check what actions need to be taken, help in the process of hiring and firing employees. They would closely monitorthe business and make recommendations to improve it. The models used in financial planning are often so complex that no one except the experts understand them, CFO’s use them forthe business giving it the professional touch you business would lack.

The small and medium scale enterprises are normally working on very tight margins and to employ a CFO would ruin them. CFO for Hire would be an option where they can avail professional counseling and that too with very little expense.

Caution must be maintained however on whom you hire since you don’t want anyone but the best for your business. You should conduct rounds of interviews, get necessary reference checks, conduct pre employment checks and then hire the suitable candidate. The tests range from ability tests, behavior tests, character tests to productivity tests.

There are plenty of agencies that offer the services of CFO for hire and help you make the right decision for your business needs.

You’re still reeling from the holidays and just when you think you can take a breather, boom – it’s tax time. Your palms start to sweat and your stomach starts to churn. You ask yourself if you’ve saved all the appropriate receipts and numerous other scraps of paper you need for filing. There’s a lot to account for if you have given to charity, done errands for the boss in your car, had investment gains or losses – and even more if you have a business. You need all the backup you can get to do your taxes correctly.

If you’re single, renting, making less than six figures working a regular job and just have a business “on the side,” you’re probably good to go for doing your own taxes, at an online service or the old-fashioned fill-out-the-forms method. If there is anything you are unclear about, however, it is probably a good idea to go to an H&R Block office or another tax preparer.

More business, more tax forms

On the other hand, if you’re a small business owner there are a few things you must do in order to prepare for tax season. First, unless you are the only employee and you run your business from the house, you should hire an accountant or CPA, someone qualified (and licensed, or “enrolled”) to do the preparation and who is knowledgeable about tax laws. Next, make sure you have all your documentation. Keep in mind the IRS can audit you, so take the time throughout the year to make separate files for your business and personal paperwork. Keep every receipt, note every mile driven and write dates on everything.

Frankly, you should give some thought to what is called “tax planning.” This is the way to ensure that you have deductions that are beneficial to you, such as retirement plans and other strategies that will help reduce your tax liability. You should plan your business operations with taxes in mind. It involves much more than simply keeping good records and looking for deductions. You may need to do some research here, or call on a professional financial planner of some kind, to organize your business in such a way as to minimize taxes. And the bigger your business gets – when you go from sole proprietor to partnership and on to incorporation – you will have more planning to do, more forms to fill out and, probably, plenty of reasons to get some professional help.

Common sense things

Try to get your taxes done on time. Waiting to do your taxes can be costly in fines, even with an extension. Don’t put it off, because hurrying through a business return on April 14th is a surefire way of making a mistake. It is wise to be ahead of the game and do your taxes early, just as it is wise to seek the counsel of a reputable tax professional to advise you on where and how you can save yourself from making tax blunders.

If you’re having trouble finding a good tax professional, ask! You should seek referrals from your trusted colleagues and business acquaintances. Get a few names and then check them out yourself. Interview those individuals and see if you like the way they do business, then go from there. Word of mouth is often the best way to make a great connection. However you decide to handle your business or personal taxes, make sure you do things honestly, on time and with your documentation in order, so you will feel comfortable signing on that most important bottom line.

Joint Venture marketing has become a highly popular way for small businesses to maximize their profits. When two or more businesses combine their resources synergistically, it creates greater marketing impact and bigger profits than either can have alone.
Doing joint ventures has many benefits, but there are also many mistakes that can be made. These mistakes can be costly, not only in revenue, for more details visit to www.joint-venture-guide.com but in credibility with your client base.

These are not the only joint venture marketing mistakes made by small businesses, but as these are the most common, avoiding or correcting them will certainly put you on the right path.

Here are the five most common mistakes to avoid:

1. Not taking the time to ensure that your partner has great-quality products and services and a solid reputation.

When you choose a partner, it is imperative to choose one that has high-quality products and services as well as a good reputation within the industry. Sometimes, a company may look better on the surface than it really is. Your credibility is at stake if you partner up with a company that has sub-standardproducts and services or for more details visit to www.jointwebventures.com one that is popular for bad customer service. Do your research about your potential joint venture partners and review their products and services before endorsing them as these issues will reflect on you and your business!

2. Offering your partner too small of a deal

There has to be an incentive for your partner to engage with you, and offering too small of a deal won’t make it worth their time and effort. Remember that endorsers with a large, targeted and loyal client base are the most wantedjoint venture partners. They’ll partner with others if you offer a percentage of the profits that’s too low. So make this mental note… if they are worth pursuing, they are worth sharing the profits with.

3. Simply handing over your client list

This can constitute breach of contract with your clients if you have committed to their privacy. You’ve also worked very hard to build your client list, and this forms part of the value you have to contribute to thejoint venture relationship. If you simply hand over your client list, you have no point of leverage.

4. Not devising an exit strategy

Even the best of relationships can go sour, or simply not work. Make sure you have an open door to leave the joint venture if for any reason it is not working out.

5. Committing to a long term relationship from the beginning, without testing your strategy first

Any joint venture should involve a trial period to see if profits will show a real upwards trend, or if the idea is a valid one. If you sign a long term contract, you may be stuck in a no-win situation with no way to escape. As with anymarketing strategy, test in small numbers first, before rolling out fully.

Joint Venture marketing is very lucrative, and with some forethought and planning, can help springboard your business to new success levels. Just make sure to do your homework right from the start, and avoid these pitfalls to ensure high returns on your investment of time, money and effort.
